Hummus

We make this recipe a lot. It comes from an Arabic cookbook given to us by Vince's mom. It has lots of notes in the recipes where family has tweeked them here and there to make them "just right".

1 can garbonzo beans + 1/3 c. of the juice
6-8 T of Tahini
1-2 cloves of garlic, minced
3/4 t. salt
2 T lemon juice

Put into blender in order listed. Blend until almost smooth. You want it to be a thick paste.

Garnish:
cumin and paprika with olive oil
(Vince likes the garnish, I totally think it ruins it but to each their own)

To serve:
Good with veggies or warm pita
I like to use them in veggie wraps or as a dip for grape leaves.
